These are all good things to know, but also keep in mind that if you are on a smaller budget, here are some additional things you can do:
- Freshen up the outside with paint or plants. Remember, First Impressions are the best! If your home looks appealing from the outside, people will want to go inside.
- Fresh paint, declutter, and clean. No one wants to smell dirty socks when they walk in the front door when they are looking for their dream home. A fresh coat of paint does wonders. Remember also that less is more. The fewer things people see that belong to you, the better they can picture their items in the home. Sometimes people do a quick clean, plug in an air freshener, or bake a pie or cookies prior to showing. This always gives the home a welcome feeling.
